Dear Dad,
Happy Father’s Day! Thank you for loving mom, Craig, and me! Thank you for always using a gentle voice and a firm hand. Thank you for being an encourager. I loved reading the notes and scriptures that you left me daily as you encouraged me when I was growing up. Thank you for meeting me at Brownlee Park at 4:25 AM when I had to have those early jogs. (I just wanted to be like you & run a marathon- didn’t quite get a time as fast as yours, but I did it!) I know the only reason you went was to be sure that I was safe. Thanks for baby-sitting my boys! Thanks for taking them hunting and helping them appreciate the great outdoors. Thank you for showing compassion and teaching me what that should look like daily. Thank you for modeling a servant’s heart. There aren’t many men that are BIG enough to put others before themselves. Thank you for being dependable. I watched your concern for my Granny and noted how you took such responsibility for her well-being until she went to heaven. I know how deeply you love each of your sisters, as well as, sisters/brothers-in-law. I know you have always gotten up early so that you could offer up prayers for your all of your family and friends. Thank you most of all for giving us unconditional love! I am beyond blessed to be born your daughter! And my boys value your wisdom and always desire their “Poppy’s” approval!
